Latest Information
From October 30 to 31, the fourth xEV Battery Technology Forum and the second Solid-State Battery Technology Industry Conference were successfully held in Shanghai. This event focused on strategic planning and technological trends in the new energy vehicle power battery market, delved deeply into the development path of the solid-state battery industry, and gathered industry leaders and experts for a multi-level, multidimensional exchange of ideas and experiences.
As a key equipment supplier in the lithium-ion battery sector, KATOP was invited to participate in this forum and actively engaged in discussions about the development of solid-state battery technology. Mr. Peter Chou, Vice President of KATOP, delivered a keynote speech titled "KATOP's Perspective on Solid-State Battery Technology," sharing the company’s unique insights and practical experience in the field of solid-state batteries.
Keynote Speech Highlights:
Global Trends in Solid-State Battery Development
Solid-state batteries are seen as a crucial direction for next-generation battery technology and have been incorporated into national strategic plans by major economies, including China, the United States, Europe, and Japan/South Korea. Globally, various companies are vigorously advancing the R&D and prototype production of solid-state batteries. Although solid-state batteries are still in their early stages of development, their potential commercial value has already sparked intense competition among countries in terms of technical approaches.
KATOP's Exploration and Practice in Solid-State Batteries
Since 2015, KATOP has been actively exploring manufacturing technologies for solid-state batteries. We have witnessed the transformation of dry electrode technology from theory to reality, accumulating rich experience throughout this process. Through relentless efforts, KATOP has achieved significant breakthroughs in dry manufacturing technology, successfully developing production solutions suitable for ternary materials, electrolytes, and more. Additionally, the company has established an experimental center that covers comprehensive powder processing, dry and wet processes, solid-state battery testing, and integrated testing, providing a solid foundation for product innovation.
Enhancing International Cooperation and Promoting Model Innovation
Given the advantages of solid-state batteries, such as high safety performance, high energy density, and extremely long service life, they will undoubtedly become a core component of future electric vehicle solutions. KATOP believes that deepening international cooperation and exploring new models of collaboration will further accelerate the maturation and commercialization process of solid-state battery technology, leading the industry to new heights.
